Tyre sizes

I've got to change my tyres in the next few days and so have been pricing up various sets.

My current Ellipsoids are running 225/40/18 fronts and 255/35/18 rears.

I'm thinking of possibly lowering it 30mm on Eibach springs but having looked at it would I need lower profiles to avoid the possibility of ever scrubbing? I know 30mm isn't too low but the profiles look quite large to me at the mo

You will be absolutely fine on the standard sized rubber on standard wheels.

I'm down more than that (fk springs) and when I had the standard 18'' ellipsoids on I had no rubbing issues, even with 25mm rear spacers on.

Good news I've got some spacers to go on too so that was gonna be my next question

I think upto 12mm will be fine on the front. I'm sure people have had rubbing issues with 15mm spacers (bing, if i'm not mistaken). I had 20mm on the front and had lots of rubbing.
