Tyre Profiles

Has anyone running 19" wheels with lowered suspension, like eibachs for instance, fitted the the following tyre sizes to their Z4m.

Front - 235/40/19
Rear - 265/35/19

I know the Rears will work as my friend runs the combo with no issue but I'm interested to know if they would cause any rubbing issues at the front and I'm keen to increase the profile on my next set of tyres.

Thanks

i run 235/35/19 265/30/19.... be careful with your sizes the 40 section up front may rub, then again its difficult to comment really as i dont know what type of offset were talking about?? i like the sizes i posted also worth a mention that alpina spec'd those same sizes for the aplina roadster S, these are imo the best sizes for a 19" wheeled Z4///M

The sizes I've posted give you the closest rolling radius to the oem 18's and I'm think they may provide a bit more give on some of the bad roads I have here.

Perhaps running 35s on each axle is an option.

I run 235/45-18 front and 265/40-18 rear on my ///M with the stock rims. This is very close to the rolling radius you are asking about. (26.3 inches diameter front and rear) I don't have any rubbing issues at all. However, as noted before the offset on your 19 inch rims is the unknown factor.

You'll also have to factor in the construction of the tyre you're planning on using, as there seems to be variation in the actual width of tread on tyres of the same size (assuming the data I found is correct of course).

Daz, will give you a go of mine. Its at Clark Motorsport today. Mind i'm 35 all round.

Cheers, so you reckon it drives ok with 35s all round, was thinking it may be better to go 40/35.

Seems fine. Will know the true feeling later. In reality it's not the profile that will make a huge difference to the ride its the damping and chassis!

Yeah I know I'm ok with the ride once up to speed. Just for some of the holes in road it may give a bit more compliance at low speed.
