It will be a while before I can justify new rubber - the Bridgestone RF are only 2yr old with 8k of use. Loads of tread so it will probably be age rather than wear that justifies a change.

Ronk mine were only 2years old as well, and only 6 thousand miles of use but I still regard it as 600 quid very well spent.

£600 well spent sounds like a compelling reason to change. You must be well impressed, its good to hear.
Did you hang onto the RF for any future/potential trade in? When i looked at trading a previous E85 to a BMW dealer. they were a bit iffy about the non runflats.

Over the years, probably 80% of the time an average tyre would have been just fine... another 19% during some enthusiastic driving felt safer paying for the premium... then 1% when all hell brakes loose & somehow the car saved my life.

I think you did the right thing getting the premium F1’s, believe u won’t regret it

No I sold the runflats on fleabay, advertised for £200 the set in the end let them go for 150 the buyer collected them.
I shan't be worrying about trade-in I'm 68 and hopefully keeping this as long as I'm physically able to drive it,as it's only a summer car and gets mollycoddled and does a low mileage I'm sure somebody on here will snap it up in a few years time and be really pleased it's got decent tyres on.

Approaching 71 I’m also unlikely to trade in and like you the car gets the same use and care. Let’s hope it’s a long time before either car is posted on the “For Sale” section.

Try it & see, I don’t think mine triggered when I changed my tyres? :?

will do rob, just recall when I messed about with pressures the other week, the next day it pinged up the tyre pressure warning symbol.
obviously checked for the obvious, did the reset and all good.

Well the Goodyear’s going on tomorrow, so hope to see a difference in the ride quality, and hopefully reduce the risk of cracked alloys.
Looking forward to seeing the results 😀

They’ll take a couple of hundred miles to cure, suggest u don’t get too enthusiastic with lower temperatures otherwise

Yes, won’t be doing anything silly.
Seen a few mishaps over the years, mainly guys coming out of the tyre shop on sports bikes, seeing a crowd, giving it some throttle, and promptly dumping it on the tarmac.

New tyres fitted😀
Not driven far, but can feel the difference
Now I need a new rear light unit
Seems they can’t be fixed if indicator strip is faulty ☹️
