Been pricing up a set of tyres to replace the runflats currently fitted.
Kumho ecsta le sport 470.00 fitted
225x35x19
255x35x19
best I could find.

Good price for them, pretty decent mid-range tyre. They tend to wear well, but don't really offer the grip or confidence that a Michelin does.

Better to pay a bit more and go for a quality tyre, I paid £630 for a set of Goodyear Asymmetric 3s. Also try going for 235 instead of 225 for the fronts, slightly increased profile to go with the 255/35 rears

I heard they were a pretty good tyre.
no disrespect to you, but a lot that make comments along the lines of grip, have never come close to the limits of adhesion on there daily commute.
I am very particular on tyre choice for my track bikes, but rarely reach the limits in the z on our congested roads.
always good to get feed back :)

so assume you have tried them, what makes you say there not a quality tyre?

Michelin are doing a £100 cash back offer on tyres at the moment if you buy 4 in 19" or over.

That would get you a set of Pilot Sport 4 S (the best performance tyre currently available) for under £600

Still MPSS for me. Not a tyre for comuting though, IMHO They need heat in them before they offer enough grip to push the car. Even on a Sunday morning B road. They do also grip ok in the wet. But again you need to drive like ye nan for a few miles and get some temperature in them, before you can push on. :They suite the ///M, as the engine takes a few miles to come up to temp too.

Don’t suppose you have a link to the Michelin’s at that price?

That looks like a very good deal on very good tyres.

Blackcircles are doing 10% off today when you buy two or more tyres. Looks like it only applies to Michelin, Bridgestone, Goodyear and Avon but might be useful to someone.

I went to toyo proxies t1 sport front and proxies sport rear. 408 with tracking. Asda tyres i have full faith in my car and the comfort is such a massive jump. Asda tyres

I rate Asda tyres and Blackcircles - the reviews on there are always useful too (and not just by enthusiastic drivers so you get a more balanced view :) )

well after some extensive enquiries, I have decided on goodyear assy 3,s
225x35x19 fronts
255x35x19 rears
528.00 inc vat fitted.

Good choice, and a very good deal I paid over £100 more for mine in the summer, but I've been well pleased with them transformed the car

good to hear you were pleased.
seem to be a well rated tyre, and for the difference in price from some of the, for want of a better phrase,
mid rated tyres, it seems a logical choice.
whilst I had no issues with considering, vreds, kumho, uniroyal, they were only coming out 15-20 pounds per corner less.

Think I had better look at my tyres as last night the car was showing an independent streak and wanting to go in a different direction to the one I preferred and planned to use. :D

It will be a while before I can justify new rubber - the Bridgestone RF are only 2yr old with 8k of use. Loads of tread so it will probably be age rather than wear that justifies a change.
