Anyone experienced increased tyre pressures due to this hot weather then bringing on the traction lights when cornering hardish up to speeds of 75ish ,when i checked the pressures they were 41 usually 34 did this the last hot spell :?Reading 31c on the dash

When I did the performance driving school, we had tire pressure warning lights going off right and left due to the stress we were placing on the tires.

31C isn't all that hot, really. It's been above 34C here and no dash warning. I did set it off when spring went to summer. I had aired up my tires just before the temp change and the increase in ambient temperature set off the sensor. Adjusted pressures and it's been good since. If you checked the pressures while cold and they're ok, just reset the warning.

You will always see an increase in tire pressure when the temperature goes up. It is simple physics...

No two different brands of tires react the same way to the same inflation pressures.. What I mean is if you are running the RFT's and someone else is running PS2's, both tires react completely different to adding or subtracting the same amount of tire pressure. Also, the same two different tires will both increase/decrease tire pressure at a different rate from each other for every degree of ambient temp change.

You don't tell us what tires you have on your car so there is really no way to establish baseline data so someone with the same tires can answer you in a coherent fashion.

it is hot for the UK...

I was in Maine last summer for the 4th of July. I was VERY glad I had my fleece jacket with me. It will be around 34C for the next 6 weeks or so here.

Gotta love Summer in the SE USA 8)
