Tyre Pressure

Ok, firstly, I have been a bit slack of late in checking the tyre pressures on my Z4M. Used to do it prob once every two weeks but of late its been more like once a month or even longer.

This has resulted on two occasions in the tyre pressure warning light coming on. I have then topped them up to the required pressure having some of the tyres being as low as 25/26 psi.

Is this acceptable over the time period or do you think I have very slow punctures?

I think it's a common loss of tire pressure. Since I have the sensor I've given up on checking the tire pressure on my own. Yesterday the light came on and my fronts we're about 20-25psi and the rears had less than 10psi.

Isn“t that sensor just for checking severe loss like when you got a puncture? or is this another type of sensor?

10psi in the rears!!!! :o And you didn't notice!?

LOL! Well, the RFT's are still on there. Considering I haven't put many miles on the car, the driving dynamics hadn't changed since I got it. It wasn't til I filled it up did I notice an improvement. I was like OHHH this is how it's supposed to handle. I imagine it was around 20 psi and finally lost enough air presure for the sensor to go off.

My light came on this morning too... I pressed the tyre with my finger (v.technical!) and it feels ok... will check it when I get home... fingers crossed!

dont know what is going on here but im running close to 40psi. i think under 20psi is not acceptable for your tyre wall and your rims
