Tyre pressure sensor fail.

Every time I startup I get a red tyre pressure warning light and a beep from the dash, set pressures all to 32 psi, checked after a day and pressure still as it was set...still get warning. Do the sensors have batteries in the wheels? Any idea if this can be cleared by diagnostic tools?

As above,u will need to press and hold the tpm button down until the red light turns orange and then goes out..then u need to run the car imediately after for a cpl miles/to allow the tpm's to "log" tyres current pressures.
Assuming u havnt done this as yet,if u have then coul be a faulty monitor or something.

TPS button?

Is this somewhere in the menu that you get when holding down the S/R button in between the clocks? Gives me an option to scroll through about 22 different ones. I'm assuming these are all some kind of system resets...but fully aware I could also be talking absolute toss.

Tyre Pressure Monitor Reset button, its located on the panel thats on the transmission tunnel,in front of the gearleaver/below the heater controls, etc; and beside the roof buttons if a roadster,or htd seats button if u have them.

You need to press and hold the button that looks like a flatish tyre, then the red light will turn orange and after a short time, will go Orange and then go out...as soon as its gone out, take the car a short run(1-2mls),and thats it,all reset.
This neds done whenecer you lose or increase tyre pressures

The button is on the panel above the ashtray were the DSC button is, the button your looking for has a cross section of a tyre with an exclamation mark in it, press and hold it until the light comes up on the dash drive off when the light goes out the pressures are set.

Cheers gents, will give that a go in the morning... :D

So, what is that menu for that comes up after holding down the S/R button for a few seconds?

Instrument panel diagnostics. There's a post about here somewhere listing all the functions and how to unlock and navigate.

BTW, this generation of Zeds (except maybe the last year? I forget) don't have sensors in the wheels, low pressure is determined by the abs system essentially counting revolutions of each tyre.
