Does anybody have any trusted fitters that won't damage alloys or stick 20 wheel weights on an alloy when doing it?

Was looking at going to one of these places

Martins Tyres, Brentmoor Road, West End
Als Tyres, 240 London Road, Bagshot
STS Tyre Pros, 54 London Road Blackwater

appreciate that feeling of finding a good tyre fitting place....A little bit further for you but I use to use a branch of Inversion Tyres in Chiswick for the cars I owned in the past their workshop is open front (like many) and they don't mind you watching :) they were very convenient as I worked opposite...

Over time I got to know the managers/staff.....They have also got a Hunter machine and I saw some pretty nice exotica having their tyres replaced.

It's not a massive issue at the moment as I plan to get the wheels refurbed at some stage, but would be nice to find a good place now for the future

I've used ALS tyres and they were fine, although I usually use a mobile fitter, Rob @ Tyrewise.

Did you check your dealer though? I always get my dealer to do mine and in the case of an X5 wheel damage, I just got a new one as I always take pictures when I hand the car in.

I want that comfort factor that they provide whilst the normal tyre places will just fob you off.

Assumed they would only fit a tyre that they had sold

They do all my tyres, summers and winters. They have never supplied any tyres for me.

How does that compare to the other outfits?

If there is a couple of £ difference I would see it as cost of insurance against a damaged wheel ....

Wilbo's mobile man is £15, and that wheel could do with a refurb anyway so probably the best option this time around

Not sure when to do a refurb, the 4 new alloys you found in Germany are rather tempting as well

That is the route I would go to. The later M wheels had better paint, the earlier ones were flaking like mad.
