What thoughts on the best tyre shine / dressing?

I've used off the shelf from Halfords but either ended up with goo all over my wheels or wearing off after a day or so.

I'm looking for something that doesnt spray all over my wheels & lasts at least a few days?

Megs endurance tyre gel for me.. smells lovely aswell which is a brucey bonus.. If you're a tyre sniffer that is :D

Meguiars High Endurance Gloss Gel works great, but there is lots of sling if you don't wipe the tire after coating. It keeps the tires a shiny black for weeks, too. 8)

I've been using Chemical Guys New Look Trim Restorer for 6 months or so and am pretty happy with it. I bought one of their Tyre Dressing Applicators at the same time and it makes application so much easier (and prevents giving you black fingertips!).
That's exactly the stuff I've been using for the past 4-5 years - bottle lasts ages as you barely need to use much, particularly on 35/40-profile rubber. I'm still on my original bottle! Agree on the applicator, very useful.

Actually, I'm a bit of a Chemical Guys whore - interior trim stuff, shampoo, bug remover, microfibres

Megs endurance +1 on the smell factor!

Me to, love the smell,
Being a cheapskate i dont buy aplicators, I buy one of the big 50p sponges and cut it up into aplicator size peices, lasts for ages. I find that putting a couple of thin coats on then leaving it to soak in for an hour then applying a third coat helps the shine to last longer, I have had the same bottle for 2 years and only ever had to buy 1 sponge.

Thats the one! Not Poorboys at all.

Top product. One light coat for trims to get a factory new look and a few coats for tyres to get a glossy look.

I've had mine for at least a year.

Blackfire long lasting tyre gel gets my vote. Not the cheapest but it lasts for days and a bottle will last you for yonks!

Yes, this is great stuff. I bought a bottle ages ago and its lasted not too bad. Just dressed my tyres this afternoon after I washed her.

Have none of you tried bog standard black parade gloss boot polish.....

I have been only using it for 20 years, a quick wiz with autoglym there after for shows it also works ace on black body trim, rubbers around windows and last for ages.

you only needs little and it goes miles.

£2.39 a tin!

Why not try Autosmart highstyle? Sure you could get it off ebay from some shady seller decanting the stuff so you dont need to buy 5ltrs straight off. Simple to apply. Buff afterwards and it shouldnt fling. Like any dressing on tyres, centrifugal force will cause a lot of uncured or un-buffed dressings to fling badly. Meguiars endurance gel is a definate product to try also and can last a good length of time ( all are dependant on use and mileage covered )

Poorboys did a good one, with no fling....my new wheels go on tomorrow...wondering if dealer will let me rim wax the entire wheel before it goes ok....
