Furthering this thread, as when it comes to numbers my brain fails and having had a tyre / wheel meet solid object moment and wrecking the sidewall, I'm now forced to get some new tyres for the rear earlier than expected...
The standard 18in M tyres are 225/40 Front and 255/35 Rear. On the front my tyres rub the arches on the inside on half lock to full lock, especially when in reverse...
What would be the implication to step outside of these measurements..? Let's say for a lower profile..? I notice you don't mention the Vredstein Ultrac Sessanta's have people gone off these..? I'm only doing about 5,000 miles a year on mine so wear rate is of low importance, grip ranks much higher.
