I tried different pressures for mine but settled on the standard pressure.
I sold my rfts when I had a 120d but when I came to trade it in the stealer knocked £700 off the price because it didn't have rfts, even though the replacements were still pretty new. Worth considering?

I personally don't rate on Pirellis any more, even though I ran P-Zeros for 3 years on my M5 (asimetricos and neros). Had to swap them when they were worn and my normal supplier couldn't get any quickly enough, so I went for ContiSportContacts instead and found they suited my driving style better.
But as with anything, what suits one driver will not suit another. Pity you can't try before you buy

Yes agree it can be very much down to driving style and personal taste.
I have just changed to Falkens today as there are very positive reviews here & PH
Just paid £394 fully fitted at home by Event tyres. I found them very good and service was excellent, the guy was very careful with the rims so no marks
The runflats seem an absolute pig to get off, they seem to fight even to the end 
Only done 10 or so miles but they seem alot smoother on the road

The total cost for my F1's 18" weas £512 quid which was for: -
-Tyres
-Fitting
-Balancing
-Valves
-Disguarding the front two i got rid of which is a small environmental fee.
Not a bad price, it was from a place called KB tyres in the Ware/Hertfordshire UK area and when you order the tyres they arrive the next day.

i have now done over 250 miles on the new tyres and all i can say is if you have not changed to non-runflats ...do it !! the difference is night & day the quality of the ride is now much improved and along my local 'B' roads that used to be a handful to say the least are now very driveable, no more diving to the left and right under acceleartion and breaking
At speed the front end feels lighter if that makes sense?? tyres need to bed in so have not given it too much beans but overall it is highly recommended to change those awful runshats. I have a fair bit of life left in my rear runflats but am expecting to have to change them before the end of the year. The fronts are going to last forever looking at them. Toying with ditching them and think I am going to give a set of Federals a try. Roughly £60 a tyre from Camskill and I was impressed with the other set I bought – also on a car I was ditching Bridgestones off and in my opinion the Federals were notably better. Fancy giving an alternative to the Falkens a go.
I did have Falkens on a car a while back and was impressed with them also. Again, much better than the Pirelli P-zeros that came off (massively better) but I am sure some it just comes down to the compound going off over time.

Currently debating a change from my Bridgestone runflats.....still on the original tyres aside from one which was replaced about 10,000 miles ago due to a puncture. I've currently got about 4mm of tread on the fronts, 2mm on one rear and about 4.5 on the other, that's after 17,500 miles - which I think is pretty good.
How many miles has everyone got out of the various types / brands of tyres as if I do swap I'll be looking for a tyre that will last a similar sort of distance?

RE Tyrechoice,i am thinking of putting either the falkens,or the vrdstn ultrac sessantas. any1 used the vrdstns on a z4 before?,as i have primarily used vrdstn tyres(quatrac ,all wthr/sportracs/ultracs etc),on most of my cars over the yrs,and i find they last alot longer than any original fit tyre(eg:dunlop/goodyr/michelin/etc)??
As for the tyre tread depth/not sure what the dealers look for,tho the z4 owners guide(re 05/06) says the reccomended tyre tread depth to renew your tyres at are 3mm all round(not 5mm).
