Tyre choice (Michelin SS vs PS3 vs Goodyear F1)

Ok, first up I'm not in the Zed anymore (boo, hiss!), I have an S5 cab, so the wear might be slightly different to the zed.

Last year I put Goodyear F1's on the front and earlier this year I matched them with F1's on the rear.

I have just found out the front two are down to around 3mm and the passenger side one has two BIG eggs on the inside wall, so I need to at least change that one.

I always prefer to swap both sides at once, but the question is what with? On the Z4 the F1's lasted longer than a year, so I guess the S5 is harder on tyres.

I was looking at the PS3's, but people say they are noisier. I was also looking at the SuperSport, as I have heard good thing about them. As far as I can see all 3 tyres are excellent in terms of grip, so it's more noise and wear rate I am bothered about (wear rate in particular). The SS tyres actually have a mileage warranty in the US, but I don't think that is the case over here.

Obviously the SS are a bit more expensive, but to get just one year (prob 8-10k miles) from a tyre seems a bit bad to me.

There is the option of keeping with Goodyear and keeping the non damaged tyre as a spare, but I'm still confused as to what to go for.

Interested to hear your thoughts and experiences.

I've got nothing but praise for the SuperSports, so my opinion is obvious.

Don't know how they'll handle a heavier, AWD car, though I've seen everything from Vauxhall Astras to BMW M6 GTs on them at the 'Ring.
