I have a set of 107's on my Zed, they were not on the car when I got it.
On the tyre wall is a stamp showing 3303 & 4014.
Which one is the date stamp?
Are they 2003 or 2014 tyres.

Strangely the Porsche dealer had no issue with my 8 year old front tyres, when they usually are the worst for those things (like having to replace the tyre inflator and gunk every 4 years).

As the car is parked inside it is never exposed to sun light so no damage or cracks, but if they pass it, they must be good

4014 means manufactured in 40th week of 2014  8 year old tyres on a Porsche must be pretty unheard of ? :o

Many thanks all, I will be changing as I think one has gone out of shape, probably the band's have started to rust or broken.
Apaz, the first 4 digits are where it was made.

Fronts don’t wear really, only got 14k on the car. Rears were replaced at the 3mm mark but fronts still had 6 on them

8 year old tyres will be like concrete, personally i'd be changing these.

Not if they have been garaged. Also a lot of folk protect tyres these days using tyre gel which will prolong their life and keep them from drying out.

However if they have been outdoors and exposed to the sun, weather and show signs of cracking, etc then get them changed pronto.

I'm getting new tyres fitted in 2 weeks and I have just gotten some tyre gel off Amazon to help keep my new tyres in good condition so they last longer being kept outside. I will add a coat every time I wash the car.
