TVR T350

I noticed a rather delicious T350 for sale on Pistonheads the other day, and the thought came to me that this car - visually, in terms of lines and design - shares a lot in common with the Z4C. Essentially, driver's @rse is right over the rear axle, and both cars are made up mainly of bonnet & engine with a tight cockpit for the seats.

Does anyone agree? Or am I just imagining it. And another question - will the Z Coupe ever start to equalise in terms of price with these TVR's? It seems prices have surged for them over the last year or two. I wonder what the reasons are for that increase... Scarcity of manual, analogue fun machines???

It just so happens the seller of this magnificent yellow seems to also have a Z at home...!

Came across one in tesco yesterday, looks but more dainty than the Zed even though the dimensions are nearly the same

T350s first came out in (I think) 2003 so actually predate the Z Coupe. However the front engine, rear wheel drive in a long nose, short tail body has been around in various GT cars for many years.

That one in the OP's picture sold very quickly as it was very keenly priced.

Yeah, I thought it was too. If I had 31500 notes spare, and more garage space, might have *had* to buy it myself... Would make a good stablemate for the Z.

Philbo - that shot of the rear of both cars reminded me. That beautiful plate of glass on the Z echoes the lines of the TVR's rear glass! Lovely.

Looks the guy was selling the weekend FUN car to me, having driven one I know what my preference would be TVRrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Brilliant cars, very raw (no abs) but be prepared to spend to keep them in top condition. Seem to have near enough doubled in price since I last looked at buying one.
