Thanks very much for sharing Hunter :) i am with you i would love a Sag but they are holding their money incredibly well compared to the rest of the range, a mate of mine went from a Cerb to a Tam & he loves the Tam loads.

My Zed has decided to behave like my TVR now, only had it four weeks & the windscreen washer bottle is leaking already, it feels like home from home to me now! :o

I went from my first Z to a TAM.http://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=12809&start=15 ..we had a great relationship..i fettled it with love and care and it tried to kill me every time the road was even slightly damp. lol. Never once had any mechanical issuses tho. I traded it in for a FQ400...always regreted it. :(
Washer bottle? sometimes crack on the platic bit where the hose joins...take it off and seal it with a plastic glue.

Wow! you have had some cracking motors Hunter, piccies look great from the thread

Thanks for the tip regarding the washer bottle, i will investigate! :)

I drove a 330bhp Evo when i was looking to buy my cerb, it made me feel like the best driver in the world, but i wasnt too sure about the boy racer image at the time though so ended up buying the cerb instead, i bet that FQ400 went like the clappers! :driving:

My friend has a FQ 360 MR apparently considered the one to get the FQ400 was meant to be a step to far would love to know how one goes though

I believe Turbo Lag is the FQ400`s middle name! but i just love how capable Evo`s are, a stunning point to point car :)

The 400 was fast if you kept it spinning..which isnt always a good way to drive...i also had a FQ340 which was tinkered with and runnind at 412bhp..that was faster..

That is an incredicle collection of cars Hunter, you are a proper petrolhead!

Esprit 3.5 twin turbo? Surely the V8 Esprit was NA from the factory? Twin turbo must have been epic.

The V8 twin turbo did come from the factory on the later models & i think that engine recieved a little negative feedback when it came out for not sounding that great considering what it was, there is certainly little arguement to how well it went though!

To be honest though...I think you would need to be spending in excess of £100 to get anything with the sound of a TVR...fooking Epic they are :D

I have always wanted an esprit loads & the V8 was a good rival to the Cerbera at the time, i have never heard the esprit engine myself, i was just going on what i had read in magazines, i love the shape & the snug cockpit of the esprit, people in the know have told me that lotus & TVR are very similar in alot of ways... i hope these are the good reasons!! :D

Sywell meets are now every second sunday lunchtime either in the very big car park just after the Aviator entrance or in the small park at the Aviator bar/resturant. Its a tvr meet but quite a few people have other cars now including a countach , a gtr and a black z4 mc - me ! Hope to be there on the 14th oct.
