Took black mc beastie to my local meet this evening , raining as usual but who cares , lots of interest by the tiv brigade , m badge is well respected. When its decent weather will take a few folks out for a run out as requested . have done about 500 miles in the mc in last few days , utter bliss, a great place to be !

I think most genuine car fans know a proper car when they see one...

Would have loved a TVR, always make me smile when I see one rumbling past. Too fragile and expensive to run sadly.

Been said before on here, the Z4M is very much a kindred spirit to the TVR. Bit of a beast, lots of power.

True the Z4M is a bit more forgiving it wont kill you as quickly... and even if you did get out of shape in the M your much less likely to crash it and much more likely to walk away from it if you did crash it. It is a very good compromise. Fast, prestigious and looks awesome!

There was one at hartside on the Cumbria meet absolutely stunning and it was parked up with our Zs

They're agricultural, but wonderful. A proper Brit sportscar (well, until the russians took over!). Quirky and with character. A Morgan with a bad attitude :)

Did you not hear this week they have finally axed TVR for good. The 3 cars they redesigned needed to be sold between £100-200k so the market was minimal so it has finally deemed economically unviable. The name will now be used to produce portable wind turbines.

RIP TVR.

Good to hear there are Tvr minded folk on here , scary loud cars are much more interesting than quiet predictable ones ! It was either going to be a z4mc or a t350 and may still be a t350 one day but the z4mc got there first and am enjoying her very much. Love the pop crackle sports exhaust of a t350 though , if any of you good people get chance ring str86 and just ask for a drive of one of their t350's - junct 6 m40 Lewknor , I didn't get there in the end.

I had a griffIth 500. Great car . Was so quick but had some scary moments which I'm gad I'm still alive. Just wasnt reliable enough even though it had do 29000 miles.do miss it tho. But it's nice to know you can get in your zd and it looks great and there's no funny burning smells and the temperature gauge stays at the same level lol

I wanted a T350 but coming straight from a Cerbera I knew what I was getting myself in for... hence I bought the Z4. At the time there were serious parts supply problems too -- all the spares were covered by exclusivity agreements so you had to buy them from TVR, and TVR didn't have any because they hadn't paid their suppliers' bills. I guess all these issues are resolved now, and Dom at TVR Power is doing a great job of refurbing and generally improving the Speed 6 engines.

Imagine if they'd put an S54 in instead of building their own...

Yes , I think that question haunts many t350 owners ! Especially when engine malfunctions occur without a warranty which is a must . A chap at northants tvr club had his speed six go bang on the way to lemans 2 yrs ago so he decided to put an LS3 in - 6.6 litre v8 , and is about to fit a gm ecu as the mbe doesn't seem to work properly ie shuts down for no reason. had a ride in it when it was running on 7 cyl and it was evil , looking forward to when its sorted soon.

There was a black Sagaris on black rims with carbon fibre exhausts parked in my street a few weeks ago - turned into a curtain twitcher for the day, what a gorgeous car

By the way Saskia, where are the pics ?? You can't post about a meet with such great cars and not have pics :telloff: :poke:

I am a z4m noob having owned a Cerbera
for 7 years I always looked fondly on
z4 coupes.
In the ideal world I'd own both.
Loving the Z at the moment.

Bing , apologies , meet starts 7.30pm , crap weather , tvrs spread out round the park at the Aviator hotel which is a very nice place - aerodrome meet for pilots. Another ex tiv chap was there in his commute car - nissan gtr ! His fun car is a real countach ! I've had a ride in it and promised him a ride in the black beastie if I could have another in the countach. Will get some pics sorted . Pity you aren't nearer here you would be most welcome . Try turning up to the kent tvr meet which is 4th monday evening at the bullfinch london rd sevenoaks tn13 2dr and say you've been given an invite by the RO of northants tvr club ! They like other people theer anyway , give someone a run out and your there for good !

Snap! i had my Cerbera six years & i always wanted a Z4MC...ended up with a Z4MR though, i love the Zed to bits, it has a nice old school feel to it & its a great drivers car, happy days!

+1 sold Griff 500 and bought MC three years ago.

Never looked back and nice to have a car that windscreen wipers work when it rains, starts after refuelling and always makes it to the destination. Only downside has been MC depreciation versus increase with Griff over same period.

Even with Gruppe M still miss the V8 noise....

I still cant get used to everything working on the Zed! its just habit that you expect things to go wrong after the TVR, i agree with depreciation though TVR`s are good for this & as much as i love the straight six the AJP in the Cerb is a different animal in terms of sound. :)

I had a Cerb and a Tamora, loved them both but miss the Tam the most..id love a Sag and dont forget that TVR outdid the Veyron befor the Veeyron was ever thought off...the speed 12...awsome..check this....0-60 mph (97 km/h): 2.9 seconds[4]
weight 2,205 lb (1,000 kg)[1]
power: 800 bhp (597 kW; 811 PS)[1]
top speed: 240 mph (390 km/h)[1]
