Tv retrofit

Right I know this has been covered before but as the tv retrofit from bmw is discontinued, what's the alternative? Do try get hold of the parts individually or find a non bmw digital tv system?

Most parts are fairly easy to find, the hardest will be the loom. I've bought some connectors to make one up at some point.

loom can be made up if you follow diagrams at the end of this document

Please don't be offended by this question...

Why do you want TV in a roadster? My previous Z4 came with the TV function installed, but the ONLY time I used it was when stuck in a massive tailback on the A1. The factory fitted option disables the picture (sound stays on) as soon as you take the brake off, as the law dictates. If you intend to not enable this function, then you would have a distraction infinitely worse than someone who uses their mobile 'hands on'. Also, be aware that the picture is just about impossible to see with the roof down because of the glare, and not much better when the roof is closed.

My thinking exactly. Had this in my old X5 and doubt I watched it more than a few times in a decade of ownership. Only time I really did is waiting for my daughter for over an hour and flattened the battery, needing a jump start...
