Hello everyone!

This is mainly a queston for the people wth navigaton. Ireally like the TV feature in my Z but would love to be able to have in on whilst on the move - Ive had this in my previous cars and its not been distacting at all. Is it as simple as re wirng the earth away from the handbrake or is there another way around this?

Also with the Analogue to Digital change over imminent i'm wandering if its possible to run Freeview through the screen, that would be fantastic!!

Any help would be hugely appreciated :)

2003 and 2004 cars had analog TV. Cars 05 onwars have a digital tuner, so all digital channels are viewable. What year is your car?

Its analogue and 2003. s there anyway of retrofittng the digtal tuner?

I can see why people will think its mad or not agree but i dont see the point in having a tv if you need to pull up in a lay-by to watch it. Its not like i'll be going down the motorway fixed to eastenders  its more for the passenger really and those boring queue to be honest :P

Does anyone know how to fit a gas hob in the car, I can't see the point in going to get the weeks shopping and having to wait till I get home to cook it. Don't worry it'll be safe, I'll only be actually cooking when I'm not on the computer or playing on the playstation in the car.

Sam_Roser, could you give us a heads up on the roads you'll be driving/bouncing down, TIA

You wont like what i've already got installed then...

Do the right thing ,do ensure you use a Gas Safe engineer to fit ..........................Don't want any accidents do we

True, safety first!

You can overide the inmotion part with a cable and also swop analogue module for digital one, might need coding though and probably cost prohibitive to buy.

Sam_roser - there is a program called navcoder that can enable tv in motion. it costs 20EUR - so not too expensive.

However with the impending doom of the analogue receiver - it is possible to fit a digital tuner, but I don't think it would be fun or cheap tbh, but if you do find out the cost let me know.

I think I have used the TV for a total of 3-4 mins over my 12 months of ownership (waiting in a car park). so wouldn't bother unless it was like sub $50

I unlocked my digital TV, mainly to watch when I find myself stuck/crawling along in traffic driving home after a game at Old Trafford.

One major flaw I found is the signal is very poor on the move. Has anyone found solution to boost the signal?

Found this on ebay bay, but dont know if it will resolve the isuue?

The Zed already has signal boosters ampliying the signal from the rear bumper

ive got analogue but id love a freeview one. expect to pay £450+
