TV Help where do I start?

Hello..

I have a 3.0 E85 Zed with the pop up satnav with TV function, would love to watch the soaps (joke) TV in general whilst I'm stuck in the supermarket waiting for the wife etc! So my question is does anyone have an idiots guide on how to get the TV working obviously I need to change the whole setup to digital but not sure where to start

You can buy an interface to give you RF input. cheapest way would be to do this and find a digital tuner that can will work through this.

More expensive option would be to upgrade the tuner module.

You can get a BMW hybrid tv tuner but they are expensive but plug and play. Your looking at over £400 for one. They sit behind the back carpet in the boot, unplug white and blue plugs and swap unit. Job done.

I bought a Hybrid one recently as the analugue signal has been turned off. I have to say it is fantstic for traffic moments.
If you are interested in an analogue tuner I have one you could buy - saves me the trouble of advertising it. There are companies on ebay that will convert them to accept digital signals.
I believe there is a retro fit guide on the forum. You do need some extra wiring for aerials. There are various options written up on the forum.
