I have TV in my M5 - no longer working since the analogue switch-off. To be fair, you shouldn't really be watching TV whilst driving anyway
i used to spend hours watching deal or no deal driving out of london in traffic jams, illegal in the eyes of the law but I'm pretty confident i averaged 1-3mph at a push

you need to add the module listed above, this unit allows you to add an AV source so you can play movies from a seconday dvd player or indeed ipod, but it will cost you a small fortune to get all the components setup.
bear in mind adding a standard e46 television module will only give you the AV input and no television because its analogue, if you actually want the TV function you need the very rare and very expensive update freeview/digital module
if you are really dead set on it its probably easier to splice the signal wires and connect a source directly to the screen, that was always my plan anyway

As my TV function has sat idle for some time now I thought I would look into updating it (E85 2003). Saw the unit 6966696 for sale the seller says it works with Z4's. Is there a difference between model/module numbers 6956832 and 6966696?
Second option was sending my current tuner off to have it modified for digital the cost £250. But that includes a usb port and a remote control unit ( not too keen on that as would need to fit the remote sensor).
Other than that is there anything out there like adding an SSD to the tuner that I could fill with movies?

there is no real difference between those units, just make sure its a hybrid model and you should be fine - although i would say now i still think its a huge waste of money :evil: - much better to add an AV input on your current unit and watch something worthwhile whilst on the move

Mac - what is this navcoder wizardry you speak of? I would also like TV on the move too but don't fancy paying £70 for what looks like a short cable worth less than a tenner.
