Tv, DVD?

Well I have the flip up monitor in my z4 for the sat nav etc as a lot of you probably have too. Has anyone installed a DVD player into theirs or tv? Is it hard or does the screen not have the capability to show tv etc? Thanks for your replies.
 
I believe this is doable and there are 2 options:

1 - Get AV-IN cable and use an external dvd player

2 - Get a DVD changer and replace your cd changer - you will still need av cable

I like the second option specially since you can burn 6 dvd's full of mp3s use them with the dvd changer, I think it also lets you control playback from headunit/multifunction steering, but am not sure about it.

Best option for TV is to retrofit BMW TV tuner module:

Its a fairly easy job to do, had mine setup for a while but found i never used it. Even managed to play video off my ipod!

I was using an AV cable plugged into my BMW TV tuner. (Now for sale if you are interested?)

If you dont have a TV tuner, you can buy an AV input, just it costs a lot more. See below link which was where I got mine from.

Probably is but it'll be expensive new.

As analog tv has now been turned off it wouldn't surprise me if they've stopped selling them...
 
yep.. similar module but is hybrid so it does both. Expensive tho.. look on ebay.. usually £500+
