i know a few people here have done some serious stuff to their cars, does any one know a place that will make or i can buy an oversized timing belt idler pulley. i need one for my westy and i dont seem to be able to find anywhere that can do anything like that other than one place in America which wants 50USD to post it :o
 
thanks mister T, I'll give them a ring and see what they can do. its such a vital pully i didnt want to go to some random place without some sort of recommendation.

Having looked into this somewhat the skim that was done to the head I thought was just a cursory flattening so a thou or so but in fact they have taken 1.4mm so in effect my belt is nearly 3mm too long no wonder it wouldn't tension properly!
