TT first clean

Indeed MM, the level of grip is awesome....but the sport button should never be used around town  mate forgot to switch it off as we entered a local village, round a corner touch the throttle and boosh upteen mph...sounds good ....but pc plod didn't reckon so...

My mate had a 3.2 Quattro....jeesh....I didn't know cars could go round corners that fast.......Very nice clean car Si...

I know what you mean :driving:
There's a roundabout off the M65 near home that ive sluiced a variety of cars around at varying speeds for as long as i can remember , i ve had the TT round there at 60mph & still no unsettling it :? i would love to know what speed would let it go but don't fancy the carnage

Ours doesn't have a sport button :( but dose have a sports mode on the gear box :)

I love the car. But when it's time for fun I can't think of anything else.

Just getting to grips with mine but my daily drive was 15 miles down the M5 and now I go 18 miles around the lanes Since buying the TT!!!

TT love
Has it the extending spoiler at the rear ?
Yes it does comes up at 74 mph goes down at 49 also has a manual mode

I think these cars with the Spoiler up at Town driving speeds just looks so dumb!
I think just because it's auto and looks a bit weedy when it's going slow
It's super sweet it pops up. But the people in traffic with it up... Come on!

That said the fixed wing on the TT similar to the TTRS I think looks epic all the time.

Great looking car though!

I always thought the spoiler looked a little weedy up too...I do like the fixed RS one though, our old TTS I thought sounded pretty good for a four pot petrol and now we are back in a diesel I miss the sound even more and diesels sadly are so uninspiring in the noise department but I suppose you just have to put up with it and enjoy the better economy versus petrol.

Me too

I would imagine tuned the TTRS is one hell of a weapon as it is far from slow in standard guise anyway :driving:

I would really like one to have some fun in. 8)

Have to agree the Z4 is way more fun than a TT.. having just ordered a TTS!

The TT is pretty dull to drive.. fast, especially down the country lanes, and the magnetic ride is brilliant at smoothing the bumps - even on the firmest settings... even on 19's so point to point its much faster than my E85... but the problem its easy to go fast in the TT with little effort... while in the Z4 is require a level on concentration - to avoid the bumps.. and to wrestle the steering wheel.

And the flat bottom wheel on the TT is stupid.. the chunky M wheel feels a million times better!

I agree fully with you buddy. The TT dose initially feel lifeless you will grow to like it more and more. But it will never be as much fun as the z4 :(

I like the steering wheel. But i have quite fat legs!!!

Agree with MM and we didn't like our old one much at first because we were used to BMW`s...but it certainly got under the skin after a while and made for a very decent car in the end and now we look back on it fondly.

What I liked about the steering wheel was how thin the rim was whereas BMW make them so chunky which is nice to hold but lacks a little in feel.(I am definitely talking about steering wheels as that sounds a little lewd!!)
