Trying to Stay Positive

First time I have taken the weekend Zed out and left it parked out of sight for a couple hours or more since buying it back in June. First incident this morning I returned to find a mess of wet paper splashed all over the rear glass window. No problem. Cleaned with a sponge. Second incident parked up at a pub enjoying an evening meal only to return to the car and then home to find phlegm on every window..... are people really that jealous of a six year old roadster?

Again no harm done. Car spic and span and garaged for the evening. Staying positive and take both incidents as compliments!!

Any one else with similar events. Should I not be surprised?

Just take comfort that someone who will do that is very unhappy with their life and will inevitably continue to have an ever more unhappy life. Which is exactly what they deserve. :D

Whereabouts is this? I don't have any issues except the occasional verbal abuse, but that only occurs when I'm driving London/Reading way.. :?

raidanuk, I think you have just been unlucky. Wet paper - meh, kids. Phlegm on windows parked at a pub on a Saturday night - pished idiots who've spent the last of their pocket money and are grumpy about it. Always stay positive - it all washes off, as you say

do you live in the ghetto?

i haven't had a problem with mine so far. i never leave the roof down when i leave the car though, for fear of people spitting inside it.

There aren't half some idiots around. At least they didn't key it or anything permanent... :(

:x Scroats like this deserve to die on their Birthday! I had someone jump on the front of mine whilst parked at the local hospital! Fortunately the scratches polished out. Bring back the Birch, I say! :telloff:

When we pulled up at a pub one evening after a hoon i heard comments as I walked passed like "why do German car drivers always think....."

I was past and did not hear the rest. I just put it down to bearing jealous .

At least there were no damage done.Going back to the 80's,a work mate of mine had a Lada and he had it keyed all down one side.
I said to him ,The jealous Gits, you can't have anything decent nowadays!
Well it made my work mates laugh anyway!
I dread leaving mine anywhere a bit dodgy, there is no need for it.
I haven't been bothered about my other cars but she's my baby... :D

I get really peed off with people who are jealous of nice things that other people have got through hard work.

I've got members of my own family who pass comment on my "flashy cars". It really rankles with me. I work hard, and if I want to have a nice car, that's my decision. Thankfully they stop short of vandalism though...

The funny thing is that you can pick E85's (my car) up for extremely reasonable money, not much to be jealous of in my opinion. Mine is worth half of the value of my most expensive car but guaranteed it gets the most attention - both positive and negative lol

I'll always remember a comment from one guy "gosh, you haven't got a mortgage then eh?" as he stepped out of his 25k S-max lol
