Full marks to you mate for sticking with it-at the end of the day its only a quarter of a mm out from what bmw say  -at certain angles it looks as tho the whole roof is tinted :)

I wonder if full tint on the rear screen would look good?

Here's a quick example (although a black Z4):

I think it looks pretty good. Once you paint the A pillars and wing mirrors it will look awsome  Thats some excellent thinking.

It definetly benifits from having the black wheels to balance it out.

Do you even bother driving it when it's cold and damp outside? I'm finding the standard car a bit eager to spin it's wheels in the current weather.

Sorry, I don't like it. It looks like you bought it on ebay and now can't afford to get it painted. Once again sorry, only my super cyniclal view. :driving:

I agree not everyones going to like it and constructive comments are welcome but really i dont see why people post stuff like this.... What a grade A Knob.

I'm not so sure. You're going on to a public forum and posting pictures of your car, therefore inviting comments and discussion about it. You even said in the first post that you thought it wouldn't appeal to everyone. At least he gave his reasons why he didn't like it rather than just saying it looked bad for the sake of it.

In a lot of ways I agree with him. If I saw that driving down the road and didn't know better, I'm sure my initial thoughts would be that you picked it up second hand and hadn't painted it yet to match the car. I'm not a fan of the hardtops on the Roadsters anyway though. I think they look odd. I'm the same with Hardtops on the 3-series as well. It's usually at the rear of the top, where it meets the bodywork, they always look a bit cumbersome and awkward.

But there's still plenty else to appreciate on the car. You can't please all of the people, all of the time. :)

your opinion is noted  will move on however as i dont want to swap this thread with bad vibes ;-) i can however see some angles where the top just doesnt look right, the contrast seems to highlight these spots!! either way it takes 30 seconds to remove :-) But for me and everyone thats see it, i think the car looks better!! id have no problem leaving it on during a crap summer....
