Trunk opens by itself?

Recently I've been getting out of the car to find that the trunk is open - now, it isn't out of the question for me to have popped it open, not needed to put anything in and completely forgotten. However, it started to seem strange that it was happening on a fairly consistent basis. I did a bit of inspection this morning and one of the arms on the catch seems to have sheered off. Any experience with replacing this?

Not heard of this before, only had it happen to me when I have the keys in my pocket and accidentally lean on the remote.

Any photo's of the catch/latch that's damaged ?

It's a little bit odd - I do have pictures but they aren't on a sharing website so I'm unable to link them. I've seen a few videos on M3 latches not properly locking down and it seems you can adjust them to get a proper connection. I didn't know if it was a common problem or just an interesting quirk of mine!
