Gents,

i am trying to install an ipod interface to replace the cd changer in my boot but currently having trouble removing the

1. battery boxing. the plastic caps are all blunt and my screw driver is not biting
2. vertical cladding to rear of CD changer. there is a pull button with a string attached. how do i remove that?

what a pain!! arg...!!!

any advise will be much appreciated.

thanks guys

Just done mine this week. When you say battery box, do you mean the carpeted piece that the M mobility kit sits on ? If so there`s 3 x 10mm nuts underneath the M kit.

Undo the 2 plastic clips on the LH side carpet, 1 near the floor and one half way up (there`s plastic "nuts" that they screw into but there`s nowhere for them to fall so you wont loose them) everything else is able to pull flex enough to get to the changer plugs. No need to pull the plug on a cord that you mention, its to release the hood it the motor fails.

hi there, you are absolutely right. i just managed to force the vertical cladding up high enough to get access onto the CD changer.

however, new problem has occurred, the iphone connects up properly (charging and playing music) when i turn the radio on without starting the engine but once i start the car engine up, the phone disconnects and fails to connect again until i switch the engine off. something doesn't seem to be right and i am not sure why. i am using a grom-ipod interface.
