True value of a white Z4M coupé

That looks suspicious to me, but then some of the adverts you see nowadays for cars... 'Please give me £20,000 for this - 2 sentences - an out of focus shot from a phone camera'

Maybe listing for someone else??

If Adamski got a response from the Peugari monstrosity, maybe the owner will reply.

For the right price, and some subtle mods, (Black CSL's and a black/darkened roof) it would look the absolute dog's danglies.

Big difference (mileage) with the one that
was discussed here. Easily 4/5k difference in price.

Yummy white

Sometimes sales are reluctant, the seller doesn't want to realise full value. My first thought was an acrimonious divorce or threatened repossession. I have seen people 'cut off their noses to spite their face' more than once in similar situations.

From the pics it looks like it's a white wrap.

What makes you say that? Just gone back to the ad and looking at the pics it looks vaguely matt-ish but that could be crap pics. Is that what you meant or have I missed something?

The finish always looks slightly different, for some reason white wraps always remind me of fridges, just the shutlines and where the parking sensors are, and as you say the matt finish / lack of reflections in the paintwork.

I just had a look on the dvla and its registered as a white car so unless they've changed all the paperwork for it I'd say it's just dodgy pictures

the guy has owned this from new, cant see why there can be much wrong , not everyone is as anal about their cars as most of us are, i think he may have just bought it and used it as a daily driver, could be a totally honest car, might just need a bit of fettling to get up the the standard most of us woul want, white seems very marmite on this forum, with roughly half for and half against, personally i could live with a coupe in any colour excepting bloody katie price veyron pink

Currently at £14,200 with 31 bids from 12 bidders - and still over 5 days to go.

I wonder whether his Returns Policy applies to the car - "all goods can be returned within 7 days of purchasing for exchange or refund returning goods in same condition as purchased, refunds for postage cannot be given." :)

The response was

"If you want to give me a call to talk about your request prob be easier to speak over phone rather than going back and forth over emails, and quicker!!! Anytime after 9am."

Seems odd that he wouldn't put the service information up online. I don't want to call, it's wasting his time when I'm not going to buy, and might stop a genuine buyer getting through.

Maybe hes just a normal guy and not as anal as us forumites. Anyway knowing its rare and also owning it from new as a 58 plate 45+k car it sounds like there is something dubious. Its a car not an iPod, these things really matter especially if he wants good money for it. But then again some people dont really care hard one to judge.

On the phone he can say whatever he think you want to hear, whilst he's obliged to be honest in a written advertisement

The phone call would go something along the lines of "please send photos of the service book for the car showing all stamps" and "Is the car white or has it been wrapped" plus the usual interrogations. The results would be on here shortly afterwards.

But anyway, as someone else has already said the buyer may be perfectly genuine and not expecting the cynical bunch that we are poring over his ad. If he's genuine and the car is solid, it looks like eBay is going to give him a good price for it. With any luck its buyer will turn up on here and tell us how good or bad the car really is. Those of us that are fans of the white will go  and all will be well with the world

Even tho is has 60K it is a 58 plate its last of the run.

I would expect it to run more than 15.5k.

At BMW it would go for at least 17.5k if not 18k or more.

Not sure it will drive up much higher. With no reserve auctions I tend to find the vehicles generally realise their top price 2-3 days after listing (which is almost always 4-5 days before the end) with only one or two occasions for last minute bidders..

I agree with the above, I think it might get to £1k more than the present but thats about it.
