Trouble refuelling

I have found that when refuelling the Z4 the cut off keeps kicking in. This has happened every time at a few different petrol stations. I have found turning the nozzle anticlockwise as much as possible (till the handle catches the petrol flap) helps but it still happens.

Does anyone else experience this? Could there be something wrong with the petrol inlet on my Z4?

i have the same on my e85, but its intermittent

I seem to experience it more when no other cars are using the same pump (otherside) So i think its down to the fact the flow is faster when its just me at the pump

Don't worry mate, I have exactly the same problem. I tend to find I have to pull the nozzle out a few centimeters, or give it a twist. Sometimes I just stand there clicking away like mad until I eventually find the sweet spot

I have the same problem to. As above, I just twist the nozzle.

Tesco pumps frequently do this with our Focus, as above, don't fully insert the nozzle. Just make sure it's in enough that petrol doesn't pour everywhere

Different flow rates, some garages i go to - no problem, others a nightmare, even can be different at individual pumps at the same garage, haven't clocked if there's a difference if other side is being used at same time. One of our local garages i don't use as i get so frustrated with the time it takes to fill up.

I get this now and then. Happens only at a certain BP garage I use. The Shell one I ocasionally use is fine?

Get it ALL the time with Shell V-Power at local garage.
Not very often elsewhere.

Me too - all to do with the rate of flow and the angle of the filler neck inside.....

Agree with the above, you need to withdraw your tube slightly before shooting yer load :wink:
