trolley jacks

Hey folks,

Does anyone know if the jack in this kit would get under a z4m or if I need to seek out a specialist low profile trolley jack?

Ta!

Nice kit but I don't think that jack will get under.Try low profile jacks on Ebay or Amazon.

Get a low jack with much more lift.
If you want to get under the car with a sled, everything you gain in height is a plus.

Generally that's the same budget jack (or at least the design) that you tend to get in halfords, or super cheap auto over here or any low cost hardware store in between - it slid under my M ok but didn't get particularly high which was the real issue. Fine for getting wheels off, not much else - struggled to even get an axle stand under..

I bought 1 of these and for basic stuff (wheels off, putting on axle stands) it does the trick. However, you will need to drive the front wheels onto something to be able to get the jack under. I have a piece of wood under each front wheel.

I have the Halfords 'Low Profile' jack with a range of 9cm to 36cm and works very well on standard suspension .
The package appears to be good value though, I paid around £25 just for the jack.

I bought that kit for my 3.0l. It didn't fit under it and I'm stock. Took it back in the end for a refund. The build quality was not particularly good.
