Lovely car - always fancied a TR6. Sadly the wife didn't so I have 4 kids, a huge mortgage and a dog instead. GLWTS though.

that looks fantastic

if i had the money and space i'd buy it, sadly i have neither

GLWTS

Looks very nice. Door shuts are much better than mine.

To all interested......

Go for a drive in your Z, then pop into a TR6, then back into the Z. Couple of things are very striking. All the tat that the Z has that isn't really needed and how little motoring has progressed in 40 years.

Unless I have no choice I will keep both thanks.

Good luck selling, strong money for a CR car, looks very nice though.

In my mind the E85 roadster is the modern day TR6.
IMO it's exactly how Triumph (if they had survived) should have progressed rather than the abortion TR7.

Sparky, your car looks great and my favourite colour too.The TR6 is my favourite British classic.
A shame it is being sold but good luck with your sale.

MGB GT was a hard top coupe, sometimes with a nice V8 (approx 2700 were built), the open top was simply called MGB, commonly 'roadster' was added to distinguish from the GT.

Apparently BMW considered calling the Z4 after the Austin Healey in the same was as they did with the mini but Donald Healey refused to let them use his name.

Or you could imagine being in a Triumph GT6, straight 6 rear wheel drive coupe rarer than an MGBGT :driving:

ye either work for me

between '66 and '72 about 40,000 GT6's were made although I don't know how many survive. Compared to 2700 (ish) MGB V8's of which I think about 2000 remain and about the same number have been converted

Bored to 3.9 litres, ports and gas flowed heads, fast road piper cam, extractor manifolds, 4 barrel Webber, Malory dissy and some fancy coil leads and plugs.

Properly set up on a rolling road, 197bhp at the rear wheels!,,,,, mmmmmmm

Weight about 950kg, surprised a few exotics in its time.

Kept it for 10 years, sold it for twice what I paid but about what I spent. Would be worth about £16k today
