Triumph GT6 Coupe

I'm not sure this has been mentioned but i couldn't help thinking that the Z Coupe reminded me of a classic British Sports car, the Triumph GT6 Coupe.

I have always loved the old MG's and Triumphs and now wonder if my Z purchase was a subliminal decision??

ye definately agree, also i think the mgb

this is what attracted me to the coupe, to me its a classic looking car but with modern technology

Thought that as well, and I did a search a while ago to see if the shape really matched the cars I thought it did.

Went through Datsun Z, MGA, Triumph, Riley, etc, but they all looked different than I remembered.

Same here. Though it reminds me of the later version....ours must be twice the size

i never realised how small they old cars was until i got my zed, then seeing the old mgs and triumphs you realise

I had many a good year in a Triumph spitfire, Done a small conversion on my one, I dropped a 2.0lt Straight six in it with an over drive gear box . i wonted the performance of the GT6
in a soft top, Good Times :D

if i recall correctly, i always wanted a triumph vitess, which was the same engine as the gt6

The first pic of the silver car is a MK2 GT6 which I feel is the best of the versions (non original colour). Rear suspension on the other versions was suspect (transverse rear leaf spring!). Plus I like the louvres.
Pic of my '67 1800S which I rebuilt from the ground up:

Very very nice

100% agree , the coupes Z3 and Z4 always reminded me of the GT6+ , my buddy had one way back. Back then I was looking at a Spitfire but ended up with a V6 Capri (cheaper insurance... )

(It was fairly difficult for him to drive as he had a full leg cast on for almost 6 months.)
