I'm sure these cars as a package are of the moment but I don't like the external proportions, it does not a pretty car make. Interior is outdated etc.

But if you want fun and noise (a track car basically) then I'm sure they hold up.

I thought that but in the metal the M2 looks the nuts, photos and videos never do cars justice.

Agree BMW interiors on some models are starting to look dated especially when virtual displays are becoming the norm but I think I'd still prefer good old fashioned white on black dials. It won't be long before you need to go on course to use all this stuff.

Agreed. I'm not that keen on the 2 series at all but the M2 is different. Would love one.

IMO BMW are trying to re-capitulate some of the magic of arguably the most successful M3, the E30 back into the M2. I haven't checked the dimensions but the form factor certainly seems right if this is the philosophy. The E36, E46 of which I owned one and the E92 were never really worthy successors in comparison. The M2 regains some of the original design philosophy perhaps?

Of all the M cars its probably the one I'd go for as its just a nice compact size but looks quite muscular in stance with it having a shorter wheelbase than the M3/4

Its a strange one though as my M140i has virtually the same torque as the M2 but 30 odd horses less, I guess your paying the extra 15k or so for the handling :?

Shame the options are so poor. Basically a 1 series inside which is pretty disappointing for an M car.

Totally Agree.

What do you get extra in an M Car? apart from the usual lashings of carbon fibre and an expensive bill

I'm saying that you get options in M cars and the m2 allows barely any.
