Hey all,
I got a general question as I couldnt find any options in my interchange system. So, does anyone know about if the trim in the 2004 z4 is interchangeable with any other years/models of BMW? I am specifically looking for door cards, seats, and the speaker bezels from behind the seats.

Note: For the seats I am looking for direct interchange if possible, so not new seat rails, retrofitting or new plugs, just a direct fit

Any help would be greatly appreciated ! :D
 
Check realoem.com for part numbers for different years. I can say the the door cards, center console and aluminum trim are interchangeable between my 2004 and 2006 Z4s. I swapped them recently.
 
I think pretty much all the trim is interchangeable between different years of E85/6 Z4. Though if changing seats between pre- and post-facelift models you may well need to add in a passenger seat occupancy by-pass unit. Cheap and no big deal to fix.
Also, I believe the heater control unit is not swappable between the two specs, so you won't be able to get the silver trim on the knobs.
As for different BMW models :idunno: some things can be swapped I think, like some seats but not sure whether they would be plug'n'play though. Pretty much things are Z4-specific. (With the associated Z4 tax that brings :x )
