I have an intelligent trickle charger - not a C-Tech but presumably equivalent. Purchased from Canadian Tire here in Canada. Used it last year. A previous owner did a very neat job of bringing a cable from the firewall out to the front grille below the kidneys terminated by a plug which matches the trickle charger connector, so I just plug it in without even raising the bonnet. Worked perfectly last year; I came back four months later and the car started as if it had been running moments before, i.e. instantly. I have a similar unit for the Mazda MX-5 and it works just as well, although I have to hook it up to the battery in the boot.
