Tricked up MX 5s. Is it just me or do they want to race everyone?

It's idiots with spots and big egos!!
Similar to the ST brigade with fiestas. They even wanted a drag race against my old RS6.

I literally had a ST Fiesta once pull up at lights, ...must add it was all popping and banging tuned to hell and back with lots of stickers....who gave it the full beans on light change I let him go then floored the old beast. Caught up, help speed, then accelerated again. It was hilarious. What was really funny was at the next set of lights after waiting for a while for him to get there, he just coasted behind me.
Maybe no badges on the old girl helped?
But if ya know ya lumps of metal, it is an unmistakable rear end

A remapped Fiesta ST will keep up with a 3.0 Z4 all the way until silly speeds. I know this as I had a friend with a Revo one and regularly had blasts on the way home from work. He then had a Mountune one which was a little slower.

The standard ST'S still go well, though just slightly slower than a 3.0i Z4 once rolling.

Absolutely loved our one.

RS6. Boy it was a beast. My mate has it now up at 550bhp as he had a map done. 4.2 V8 twin turbo, milltek exhaust and bilstein coilovers. When I had it was standard bhp.

I have to admit i came to the Z4 from a supercharged MX5 that was putting out around 210bhp and was an absolute hoot to drive if you like going everywhere sideways and gripping the seat with your arse if it was raining. I changed as I wanted something that was fast as standard as i got a bit tried of messing about with it, although the stand alone ECU was an interesting if frustrating project. Plus at 6'3" i fit better in a Z4 than the MX5

There are many mx5's with turbo's out there running 250+ and as they weigh about the same as a packet of quavers don't assume you will always be victorious, top end though the MX5 will run out of gearing before the Z4 so if you are prepared to risk jail time
