i gave the car a good wash ,polish and wax but the bonnet top of the wings and boot lid look like there are splosh's on them almost like the car was sprayed then it rained and its under the laquer coat, pretty sure the cars been parked under trees or something would claying it get rid of this, never clayed a car before so what would be best to use for a first timer cheers

On my X5 I had that on delivery and it required a respray of the bonnet because of that. It was indeed between the clear laquer and the actual paint.

If it was tree sap, you would feel it. Does the paint feel rough?

the paintwork doesn't feel too bad not rough it is almost like splashes in the paint under the lacquer very odd but only on the top of the car not on the doors or side of the wings i will try and get a pic tomorrow

Mine was worse under tube light, in the garage it was very visible.

As said, mine was delivery damage from the US, the same as our Z4s ....

Could be either tree sap or acid rain etchings tbh. Was a bad bought of acid rain that caused major etching issues a while back. Sometimes curable by cutting right back but failing that its paintwork unfortunately. Other issue is reaction between the metal prep work and paintwork being undertaken prior to you recieving the car which again, repaint. Both these were quite bad. lpina was worse and did drop back slightly as that turned out to be metal / paint reaction issue.
