Trapped Water

The suspect drains are for the windscreen cowl, where the wiper mechanism is. There''s two, main one's low on the left side (RHD) and somewhat obvious. The other is hidden, high and somewhat in the centre. For effective cleaning you probably need to remove the cowl cover. While it's off lubricate the wiper joints, and if you don't mind mechanical fiddling, clean the contact plate in the wiper motor.
Thanks for that.

No more slosh-slosh today, so n/s seems ok, but isn't it typical that the blocked side is the most difficult to sort! [thanks BMW :headbang: ]

You may not need a jacking point, but your mechanic does to access the underside. :P
No he doesn't, he's got a lift :)

After the recent downpours I had more "slosh-slosh" so had to drain again. :(

Spoke to my local Indi. about the issue who was not aware it was a general issue. In fact he had only had one occurrence of it, [recently] so had to speak to his mechanic who fixed it to find out more.

They are suggesting that by moving the o/s inner wheel cover they can access the drain and clear it, within an hour of labour.

Sound feasible? :?

Thanks.

So, more slosh-slosh :( , spoke to a couple of indie's, and my local dealer, and none of them are aware of a general issue ! :x

I can get a good deal from my dealer, and I have other jobs for them to do, but I need to help them :o to fix this problem, so the more info the better.

thanks. :)
