Transport mode

Hey all.....had a battery issue and I believe my car as gone into Tramsport mode - heating only blowing warm air through front window blowers.

Can anyone recommend the cable to buy to help clear this? I think ots a DIS V57?? which connects to a laptop.

Any help would be great. My local mechanic has a top of the range diagnostic machine if all else fails.

where are you based as many on here have software to clear transport mode, most are happy to help if your local, me included.

Can you do it with NCS or only DIS/ISTA? I've never had to do it but would be handy to know.

Hello.
I just joined the forum because I have a problem with my E85. Long story:
I left the car with the battery connected for a long period (C19 related issues). Upon returning the battery was severely drained and therefore I took it off and had it charged (with a slow charger). Upon re-installing, the following problems came up:
The Windows lost the AUTO UP function.
The A/C-heater is not working.
Looking here in the forum, it is obvious that the car has gone into TRANSPORT MODE. The blower only starts in minimum and the A/C will not start, as neither will the back glass window heater.
So, by now I understand that I need to:
1. DELETE the transport mode
2. Register the battery, which most likely I also will need to replace.

The questions are:
I believe I have been able to find a DISv57 software module, but I will also need a K-LINE cable. However, what I find on-line is a K+CAN or K+DCAN cable. Are these interchangeable? And, as I am not in the UK, but I will be travelling to the USA and I can see that AMAZON does have the K+CAN cables, I may buy them from them. I believe they will be hard to find in town.
CAR: Z4/E85.

Are you sure it's in transportation mode?
Personally I am not sure of the symptoms of transportation mode so I might be completely wrong.

The window auto up/down function gets lost if you disconnect the battery so just needs resetting.
The battery does not need registering on the e85/e86.
The aircon might need regarding too. Maybe research how to test the compressor on here as well.

I hope you get it sorted though.

Well, I am not 100% sure, but I found a couple of videos, and some info here at the forum, and the "symptoms" that TRANSPORT MODE has been enabled are exactly what I have:
The fan will only turn to the lowest setting.
The A/C button will not turn on the A/C
The MAX button will not either.
The DEMIST button is also not working.
In the videos and comments here in the forum the description is that those are the signs of TRANSPORT MODE enabled. Also, the entire thing happened because I had to leave home, thought I would be back sooner, and the car spent too much time parked, so the battery died. So all the issues that people say are related to that long stoppage.
Thanks for letting me know I don't need to register the battery. Guess I am still going to ask way more questions than I expected.

Thanks Colb. I found that video too, and to do that one needs to install DISv57. I also found that online, and the sole thing I would need would be the cable (K-line). I am answering to you in another topic (diagnostics tool) so I will tell you what else there.

You do not need to register the battery on E85/6.

Wow, when did you steal MY car? :wink:
Yours (if it is the one in your signature) looks identical to mine. Except you have some other goodies (heated seats, which I don't need, for example). And of course, yours is a mirror (or mine is).
