Hi All,

Hope someone please help me out or link me to what I need...

Changed the battery on my 57 plate Z4 SE after it wouldn't start (original BMW battery was still in!). Now starts and runs okay but the heater/AC fan doesn't come on anymore. Looking at past posts it must be in Transport Mode. Anyone have or able to point me to the right currently available cable/software needed please? Planning to keep the car for a while so quite happy to invest within means if no-one local to Sutton, Surrey.

Normally when you change a battery you have to register the change on the car , I use a code ready called Autophix , you can do it with this reader.

That’s for the e89 cars (& i presume the g29) the e85’s don’t require battery registration as they aren’t fitted with ibs :thumbsup:

If I purchase an INPA cable and DIS(?) software will this allow me to reset transport mode?
 
A Creator 310+ will clear Transport Mode, useful scanner to have as its portable and circa £50, available on Amazon and ebay.
Will read and clear codes from all of the modules on the car and has the ability to reset service lights. I had problems clearing an airbag code with laptop based diagnostics INPA and BMW Scanner that couldn't clear the code. Creator 310 found it straight away and cleared it first time.

Hopefully you can get Transport Mode cleared but if you get stuck there is a BMW and Mini specialist in Sutton that my sister used for a few years with her Mini.

Hi colb I purchased the creator 310+ yesterday to delete transport mode on my e86 but it's failing to do so and says I need to send them a code but I have no idea who to send it to. Any ideas.
 
Strange its not sorting the Transport Mode, any documentation come with your scanner, might be a clue in there where they want codes sent, will have a look at mine when I go in the garage see if mine came with anything. Have you got INPA up and running yet, try that.
