Transport mode ?

Hi all I am going to attempt to take off and clean my start motor at the weekend as it keeps catching when I start the car and have read various posts that cleaning it can make this stop happening, my question is I will have to disconnect the battery and I have read that the car can go into transport mode is this going to happen if I take the battery off for a hour or so.

I took my battery lead off when I fitted my new steering wheel, I had no issues with it after fitting.
 
I think transport mode kicks in when battery is slowly drained down over a period of time , ie stood a long time on a garage forecourt .
 
That’s good to hear I didn’t want to try and fix something only for the rest of the car to be unusable :rofl:

This, it happens when the voltage is below the threshold for a certain time. Disconnection the battery should never trigger it, add it can't monitor the voltage.
