Just watching Traffic Cops and seen a police dog take chunks out of a couple of car thieves who had been hiding in a ditch. Go Fido!

Off topic slightly but i much prefer the Police dog tv shows;the GSD's are awesome and i am still trying to train my Springer to sniff out drugs :P

Always remember seeing the military guard dogs being trained - guy always dressed in the michelin-man suit playing the intruder part. One hot summer's day, the intruder decided he'd only wear the arm protection. Samson was a huge Alsation being trained that day; was let off the leash, told to "go get"; guy trails his arm back for the dog to bite, Samson ignores the arm and takes him down by the buttocks. Not really funny for the 'intruder' as he had a few stitches and a tetanus shot, but we couldn't stop laughing about it for weeks.

Saw this and the guys telling the coppers they were just driving to work and were not criminals haha so why hide in a river 3 acres away?? Amazing how good those police dogs are once they get a scent, and it was funny listening to them getting eaten!

Never a good idea to close an animal bite wound, no matter how clean you think it is after irrigation and debridement. Exception would be facial wounds. He's a lucky guy not to have ended up with an arse abscess if someone stitched his wounds
