Trading in Z4 for 135i convertible?

I went out to the Nurburgring this weekend. Now, to put this into context, I've been several times before. I have been three times in the M5 and have never cracked a 10 minute lap, one way or another. I went out and did a 9:40 lap STRAIGHT AWAY in the 130i, with two passengers and a boot full of luggage.

It may be ugly, but Jeez, it can haul ass!

yah, perhaps the car physical appeal would increase if a blonde like the one in the pic would make me like the car more :P

1 series faster lap times than an M5? as i thought, 1 series will be the car of choice for many who want daily driver, german engineering, trackable (as stock), w/ warranty

sp3ctre: agreed, we could probably list off at least 5 other cars that would perform better on a track for same money stock vs. stock, but i'm sure the 1 could hold it's own and realistically, it's not THAT ugly. i mean, i would rather have a 1 series than a caterham!! but yah, car like catterham would kick it's butt on the track

So I see a link to this 1 series forum on another forum and I am scrolling through some of the posts reading them to my husband and low and behold THERE IS INTGR8R! You're everywhere - I don't know what I would do if I went to a bmw forum and didn't see your name in the first few posts.
yeah, yeah.... I know :headbang:

I kind of like the new 1er.
Thinking the 128 might make a good DD, to keep the mileage off the Z.

inTgr8r, why would you keep the milage off the Z? More miles mean more pleasure :D
Oh, don't worry.... it won't be a garage queen.
I rack up about 50K km/yr

I just read about the 135i convertible on Edmunds.... Wow. It's got the 3.0 twin-tubo from the 335i and the M-body kit... Meow!
I love my Z4, but when the 135i convertible comes out, I may just have to take a closer look.
How about this one....
