Traded in the Z. Didn't get a Corvette. Here's what i got.

One last pic of the Sdrive30i.

The Z4 was, to put it kindly, too slow. Plus, two seats was just VERY impractical. The Corvette wa blazing fast, but also impractical. So after about 6 months, I was able to get into a Mineral White 2011 E93 M3.

I love the idea of an M3 but with fuel prices in the uk being what they are (almost the most expensive anywhere) it's a non starter.

Corvettes are good on paper... And on long straight roads. But the M3 will give you a smile every mile

Thanks all! And I am currently getting about 16 miles per gallon. Much better than the E63 M6 and E60 M5 that I drove. Those were set at about 9-10 mpg. I can probably get better mileage, but I have been driving like a maniac! The 8300 redline is just an experience, no other way to describe it. It takes some time to get used to, because I want to shift at about 7000 every time. But the shifts lights do help with that! :driving:

Here's hoping they make a Z4 M with a V8 before they retire the E89. (Wishful thinking, of course. NA engines are going  )

I am LOVING it. It needs an exhaust, as much of what you hear is engine and intake noise. I'm not complaining though!
The people you pass hear the exhaust....especially if you back off a little, just in front of them. :driving:

The blips on the downshifts are HEAVEN. Those I can hear for sure!
