Hi, Going to get a newer roadster and considering going to a main dealer as I did last time and do a trade in which I did not do last time.
Benefits are warranty and less hassle trying to sell the old model.
I have a 2004 3.0SE sterling grey 92000 miles full service and want a 3.0 2007/08 25000 miles Black with red leather.
Anyone like to tell me their thoughts on this, one more thing I am at sea and just come home, due back in 3 months so time is short.

Some dealers may not put such high-mileage car on the forecourt as AUC. I guess you may get £4-5k.
 
Book price comes back as £5,770 for excellent condition, £5,270 for average. Generally speaking if you take care of your car, you'll get book price.

It depends on the dealer as to whether a PX is better, or cash is better. Sometimes if the dealer is in a group that sells the kind of car you're PXing you can get a better deal - or at least it's easier to negotiate.
 
Would try a private sale first which then gives you the cash to negotiate a better deal with.
 
Looking at the time you have on shore would go for the Stealer part ex as you say quick and easy and you can always try and do a deal on the new toy a few extras thrown in but as said above thats a high miler so may get a little less all the best whatever you do :thumbsup:
 
ebay with a week posting set a reserve £1000 more than the dealer is prepaired to other , if you sell it all good if not take the dealers price . even with that milage you should be able to get £7000 if all striaght and in good nick.i bet a dealer wouldnt offer more than £5000 . And its certainly worth alot more than that.
 
I was offered £500 more off webuyanycar than the BMW dealers, and mine was in top condition.
Then they advertise "good prices paid for clean BMW's" .....b*ll*cks:headbang:
 
Hi all, We buy any car offers 5270, forgot to also mention 2 months transferable warranty BMW and 2 new rear tyres at 570.00 , will see if the dealer needs to sell then may try the autotrader/e bay route, when i was buying this I had a Z3 to trade, the dealer said 7000 not bothered about condition as it will go to auction as too old for us. I did manage to sell it and knocked the dealer down 1000.
