Traction Control Engaging When It Shouldn't.

When driving round a bend at a reasonable speed (say 40mph plus) but not in anyway hard or even close to losing traction, the TC cuts in!
It doesn't do it around town at slower speeds and it only started happening tonight, I did notice whilst it was being MOT'd yesterday that my front vehicle height sensor arm has broken (snapped), I imagine it's related to this?

My understanding is the DTC system works entirely on G forces and wheel rotation speeds and the height sensors were only for the headlight level adjustment.

But I could be wrong. It does sort of make sense the system could use the height sensors for roll, except heavy roll sort of indicates that traction is holding, so I'm sceptical there's a relationship.
 
Had this once when I fitted an odd size wheel to get me home.... i would say one of the wheels is sending bad data
 
*wheel sensors that is... they are hall sensors I believe with magnets on the back of the hub, each time the magnets passes the sensor is registers, when i looked after recently cutting off my dust shield that was scraping the disc looks like there are about 30 small magnets on each wheel hub , i noticed mine are shiney where some have rubbed the sensor. I wonder as the car gets older and the bearings move more the sensor wears in this way, since there is usually no physical contact it should last forever!
