Tracking?

Had someone comment that the tracking may be out on my car today. Steering wheel spokes arent 100% level when the wheels are straight. Now I've never really noticed it up till the guy mentioned it. Is this anything to worry about? Do I need to get it adjusted? Not having much luck with my car since I bought it

I would get it adjusted if for no other reason than to save excess wear on your tyres! Will improve the handling. I have same issue but am waiting for new wheels to be delivered as will have it done when new rims go on. Nearly every second hand car I've bought last few years has had to get tracking done. Unlevel steering wheel spokes just plain annoy me!

The fact the steering wheel is not centred does not in itself mean the tracking is out or it will in any way affect handling or tyre wear.

If the wear pattern is good on the tyres and you have no unusual handling then no worries.

That said I'd fix the wheel position as it would annoy me.

Glad to know it's not a serious issue! The car drives absolutely perfectly. Just the steering wheel not 100% level. Any idea how much to get it adjusted?

Needs doing at a hunter equipped place not a normal garage. Expect £60 to £80 for a full set up. Possibly less tojust set the steering wheel
