Tracking down a space saver

Been looking on eBay for a while but can’t seem to track down a BMW 17 space saver. Was thinking of trying to buy one through BMW but worried how much this will cost, any ideas? Was also wondering whether VW or any other manufacturer’s wheel will fit, as I can find plenty of them on eBay. What has everyone else done?

some Jaguar space savers are supposed to fit
I forget which at the moment
I think it's not X-Type or S-Type
it's some older ones like XJ6

Needs to be a 17 inch as wont fit over the brakes as I understand.

Yes for the 3.0Si it will need to be a 17" to clear the calipers.
Try calling a few breakers who are advertising E46 330 sport or diesel (not smaller engined variants). They are the correct wheel and what I have

Call Quarry Motors from the eBay link above - I understand they can usually get you one. They seem to come at a premium though.

I found a brand new wheel (on eBay) and bought the tyre but this worked out a pain as that size tyre is hard to get hold of.

I've tracked this down on ebay and it looks to be the same wheel as I have fitted on mine. It's not in the best of shape but as it's just down the road from me and apears to be the right size I thought I may get it, to use the spare. Just wondered if anyone could confirm that it will fit? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290496771018&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT. Cheers :D

for anyone considering a Jaguar space-saver, I found this info on the Jaguar bolt patterns
