Im having a tracker installed tomorrow. Who else has done this and did it make a difference to your insurance? Im also a bit worried that it may interfere with any the DAB or Nav...has anyone any experience of any issues?

I can’t help too much with insurance etc however my van has a live tracker.

It records every input I make and locations on the map as well as co ordinates.

It doesn’t interfere with anything, you’d never know it was there and I have a DAB radio :thumbsup:

Nice one...I don't want that Buzz noise you get from electronics that transmit when close to other electronics....
 
You won’t get anything like that at all. Ours are all on a monthly subscription but I’m guessing that’s as we have a fleet.

What have you gone for? Is it just an initial cost for the tracker and fitting? Reason I ask is am I’ve been thinking of having one fitted for a while now.
 
Company called trackerfit, £199 fitted at home or work. Monthly yearly or lifetime subscription.
 
When I got my 1st Z4 in 2012 I was with LV....they refused to insure it for theft unless I had a tracker fitted!

Changed insurer.
 
I had a tracker installed when I bought my Zed, as a condition on my insurance. So it certainly makes a difference for me. Took out a life time one off cover. Happily still covered and not cost me another penny in 7 1/2 years. :D

when I had e86 M coupes I couldnt find anyone that would insure me without one but 35iS no one seemed bothered , it didnt cause me any problems , paid an annual fee , cant remember how much but it was 12 years ago so probaly more now
