Track rod ends

My friend owns a garage, got the Z on the hoist at his workshop today just to have an inspection.
Found the Track rod ends or Tie rods quite loose when moved by hand and the rubber was not in the best of shape.
I need to replace them.
Which make are the usual ones members opt for? Also how much ' play ' should there be in the rear control arm bushes or is the term 'lollipops' the right one to use?
Thanks.

No play if you're using your hands, 1mm if you're using a pry-bar. And, control arm bushes is fine, you'll be talking about "sway bars" next.... :D

Go for Meyle, or any other brand you've heard of, all parts are NOT the same. Some of the cheaper items, which were originally fitted to mine, had bushes that sat 2mm-3mm inside the bar, which doesn't sound a lot but it made a huge difference.
